It's taken 8 months for my stories with Canadian Living to begin.
The first of my produced lifestyle stories begin in the May issue.
I had to scan this one from the ipad - but they should hit newsstands next week.
It's all about my happy organic vegetable garden - my tips and tricks.
The whole family made it in the story...
My husband didn't make it as he was still asleep while we shot at 5am. (So don't judge my hair)
But he is in the second part, which is all about our sweet art studio, which will run in the July issue.
I also wrote this story, which is super exciting for me!

My incredibly talented and utterly lovely friend Fifi O'neill
is launching a new magazine this May.
I know a lot of you already know Fifi - it's a small world and this little french lady really gets around.
She is editor, stylist and author of - 3..no 4...I've lost count, it could be 5- magazines and books.
I don't know how she does it all.
This issue has farmhouses, a Virginia beekeeper, sheep and Ralph Lauren...
you know they had me with the sheep!
It also features springtime recipes pulled from my book
Sorbet, pavlova, iced teas, rhubarb jam ....
If you'd like to pre-order click here.
Available in bookstores this May.

Between the chickens, vegetable garden and giant nest of ladybugs I found in the bee hive boxes, I thought life was pretty exciting.
Then I went out to Farmhouse cheese.
It's baby goat season.
He or she is one day old - is standing in the sun with it's eyes closed smiling.
This could be my missing goat.
These ones were pretty 'fresh' and must have come out the night before.
This big boy was rather serious...
..and this guy, well, I have no idea what he's thinking, but it's not good.
The ladies are lovely as always.
We bought some of their 2 year old aged cheddar - so amazing.
If you can get out there, it's worth the drive.

I think I'm making headway with my husband on getting some sheep after this day.

I really have the best job ever...
producing happy stories with pretty things..
..and I get to make things that I otherwise wouldn't think about trying.
Like fortune cookies!!
..and when life isn't so busy, I get to hang with my girls..
watch the garden grow...
and teach my girl to knit.
I am very grateful.

I made a lot of food from scratch this weekend.
Hand pressed tortillas for our romantic fish tacos.
And for my 15 year old nephew...
I love that he still asks for these each year.

Love is in the air this week.
I'm just thrilled I was able have a shower this past Sunday.
(I had a varicose vein removed from the top to the bottom of my leg last week)
Though, I don't know what was more upsetting upon removing the bandages...
...the fact that they wrote XLG on my thigh (universal code for extra large) - or that they
only gave me half a brazillian.

There are really only two bubble lessons, outside of the dip and blow rule.
Lesson one...don't put your lips on the wand.
This is an important one to remember.
Lesson two...beware the bubble shark.
He is insane.
I've been couch bound all week after some nasty vein surgery.
These meyer lemon bars made me smile.
Until they were gone.
