Sun is good!! Love your chickens. Our chickens are loving the sun to. Do you have any post on your raised garden beds? I want my hubby to make some this spring.
Hi there – Becky? Is that right? I was on your blog and see that a lot of people call you Becky. I haven’t done a post on raised beds, but will be this spring as we are rebuilding and reworking our whole garden area. We have had ours for over 10 years and they are all falling apart. We are using untreated wood as well as some great cedar posts that we were given to make double high beds. Double high means you can get deeper better soil and you don’t have to bend over so much so your back doesn’t hurt! I’m a big fan of higher beds and less bending! We also put down a very thick layer of newspaper on the bottom of each bed to help kill the weeds. Hope that helps and once the weather gets nicer, I’ll post about our new beds. Have a wonderful weekend. Heather
